Ingredion Incorporated is in search of a Sales Coordinator, who will be responsible for supporting account managers and coordinating sales-related activities for our US/Canada Systems and Ingredients Sales team. The Sales Coordinator will support the business as a key member of the team in helping account managers improve productivity and selling. This position plays a critical role in assuring that customer expectations are met and exceeded while also acting as a liaison between sales and the internal functions of the company.
As a Sales Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate collection and assimilation of various documents with sales and customers.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to support updates and information related to key activities or initiatives.
  • Act as additional liaison between sales and internal groups (Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, etc) for coordination of projects, training and other corporate needs.
  • Support processes related to special pricing, freight rates and other various daily customer centric activities while seeking opportunities to enhance and stream-line these processes where possible.
  • Provide key tools to sales team during contract time such as customer pricing history and other important data.
  • Support sales team with internal follow-up on supply and quality actions to support customer updates.
  • Work collaboratively with sales team to troubleshoot customer issues and support customer needs.
  • Build a good understanding of the selling process to ensure work is responsive to team and customer needs.
  • Work with the team to develop new methods for stream-lining activities to impact selling efficiency and effectiveness efforts.
  • Understand when to escalate customer needs to management due to internal or customer issues.
  • Proactively seeks external knowledge to improve understanding and work output
  • Support management by providing follow-up and communication on important matters that may arise.
  • Assist sales team with collection, consolidation and communication of information needs of organization related to key events (IFT/Trade Shows, other key customer events, etc)
  • Support key ongoing sales team needs related to Distributor engagement.
Qualified candidates will have:
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales support, customer service, administration or similar role.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple levels within the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with windows based software programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, establish and maintain effective working relations with key members of our Go-To-Market team, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Quality, and the technical community.
